A map of Infamous Chicago Mob Locations. The map will be updated periodically.
You can click on the blue place markers to expand the section for information on each location. Feel free to nominate additional addresses for inclusion.
I live in O.L. I remember in the early 80's there was a late night shootout at this alleged wiseguys house. The neighbor told be he saw the guy jump out the 2nd story window when it all went down. Lol, the guy was really a cool ol guy. Always friendly when we'd walk by and say hello!
Good afternoon. I'd love to get more information any of you can provide. I've had a strong interest in learning about the Chicago Syndicate(Outfit)'s history. Some of the names and locations mentioned are new to me, ie. Oak Lawn killings in the 70's, Beverly, Bridgeport, etc. Though, I have read some about Bridgeport(Jarrett). I know all the postings here are pretty old. But if you're willing to share what info you know, just let me know. Post a follow up to this, so I know. Thanks!
I happen to be the son of someone this website names as a boss not to mention grandson, cousin, and nephew of others. Lets not forget melrose park and cicero. Dominicks grocery store was started by the outfit in melrose. both cities played home for many familys whose fathers who where "connected".
Isn't that a shame. Years ago, Melrose, Stone Park use to be nice, clean, quiet "Outfit" neighborhoods. Now, it's a different demographic. Unfortunately!
Great stuff. back in the mid seventes I was doing some work for two club owners in old town area. I onlyremember their first name. Ronnie and Rickie formed a good relation ship but lost contact. they owned the Club Amore, fonoikos. and severay others. Anyone know of them and if they are still around.
Willow springs had a large speak easy and the mob moved goods up and down the I and M canal. Also mob connected John Corbit and the Diane masters murder. In justice Testa owned Sterling Estates he was murdered just before I moved in there but his wife ran the park till she got sick and sold it. Us kids came upon a meeting in a isolated part of the park with men in expensive suits and Lincoln Town car and we were asked to go play somewhere else. We booked out of there.
Re. the Purple Hotel / Dorfman hit / Lincolnwood, IL: At the time of the hit, it was the Lincolnwood Hyatt hotel. The purple color was a mistake, as (it is alleged) the bricks were supposed to be blue. But Pritzer used them, anyway. The hotel changed ownership, several times, fell into disrepair so badly that Hyatt pulled the franchise and it became the Purple Hotel. Hookers in abundance. Finally condemned, it was torn down several years ago and several potential projects have gone belly-up. Now, just a wasteland with a few bits of concrete foundation visible. Another company trying to make something useful but Lincolnwood's building dept. bureaucracy and Village Board moves sooooo slowly that the Chinese Creeping Crud virus will be only a distant memory by the time that something emerges from the rubble!
For the Lombardo Arrest Alley, does anyone know the street address of the Calarco home where Joey was staying? I know it was on the 2300 block of 74th, but which house? It looks like 2311.
I was checking out you map. What about all the mob killings in oak lawn in the seventies and early eighties i.e Thanasorous, Mirabelli etc.
