- BUILD A CRIME EMPIRE: Raise your criminal empire from the ground up by selecting your racket of choice (be it speakeasies, union protection, or casinos) and building a team of loyal mobsters to make your mark on the streets. Once you make a name for yourself, expand your influence by taking over rival territory and adding more ventures to your repertoire.
- DEFEND AND EXPAND TERRITORY: If it comes to blows, hypothetically of course, and your posse needs to send a message, face off in brutal turn-based combat. Recruit your goons strategically to build a strong chemistry within your crew to maximize combat damage and help secure your hold on the city.
- EXPLORE A LIVING, BREATHING CITY: Explore the streets of vibrant 1920s Chicago and interact with a full cast of living, breathing characters each with lives of their own that inform how they react to what you do (or don’t do). Schmooze, coerce, seduce, threaten, or kill them to get your way.
- WIELD YOUR INFLUENCE: Make and break alliances, bribe cops, and trade on the black market to gain an edge and expand the influence of your crime family. But always keep your enemies close and ensure you have a mole on the inside and eyes everywhere.
- PURSUE MULTIPLE VICTORY STRATEGIES: Whether you make it to the top with violence, business smarts, or city-wide notoriety, there are a number of ways to become King or Queen of Chicago. With various starting conditions and constantly changing crew dynamics, no two playthroughs will ever be the same.

Mobile Gamers Can Join the Mafia with "The Godfather: Family Dynasty" App
In a world where respect must be earned, power means everything, and family rules above all else, The Godfather: Family Dynasty allows mobile gamers to enter the seedy life of a mobster. And this is one hit mobster fans won't be disappointed about.
Get ready to whack the enemy, build your estate and establish yourself as the ultimate crime Family. Mobile games publisher Hitcents, in partnership with Feelingtouch Games and with licensing from Paramount released The Godfather: Family Dynasty mobile game.
At its core The Godfather: Family Dynasty is all about money, power and respect—and don't be surprised that this means the player has to sometimes get their hands dirty and take out the rivals.
Set in the criminal underworld of 1945, player starts off as a foot solider for Don Vito Corleone while making a name for themselves as they build an empire to help The Godfather run the most powerful family in New York City.
When it comes to the gameplay, The Godfather: Family Dynasty is a real-time RPG strategy title. The player is instructed to built and expand the Corleone empire including constructing the Mansion and other buildings, training thugs to use when a hit needs to be made, and making business deals to keep collecting money.
Keep developing the Mansion and "leave the gun, take the cannoli" or complete tasks in order to unlock more doors in the world and earn rewards. The player must make upgrades to buildings and weapons to improve skills and weapons, while defending their territories by mobilizing their crews of Capos and Soliders. The player needs to make profitable investments and provide help to allies in order to succeed and earn respect.
The game starts with an in-depth tutorial to get the player used how to the play the game. And since the game switches from the Corleone empire map to the city map with many things going on in each, it helps that prompts continue to pop up even as the player advances to remind them of tasks and how to complete them.
It's a plus that there are no building times during some of the building, making it easy to advance in the game a bit before taking a break and returning later.
Besides building, the another major part of the gameplay is its battle rounds where the player must take out enemy foot soldiers and their Boss. While the player doesn't have to do anything physically in these battles, it takes strategic planning to come out the winner based on the power and skill of the men from the player's army they use.
There is also a Story Book mode that includes new challenges and provides a way to advance. These include Godfather-themed chapters like "Connie's Wedding" and "Sicilian Oranges." Complete these Story Book challenges in order to "enhance" Capos characters to equip them with various items that make them more powerful.
There is enough going on in this game to keep a player entertained without being too overwhelming with its features. Once the player gets the hang of it, navigating through the game because a piece of cake.
Perfect for those who like a title where they need to rise to the top, and those who enjoy mob movies, The Godfather mobile game delivers on living up to its name.
The chance to play The Godfather: Family Dynasty for free is an offer a mobile gamer can't refuse. Be a wise guy and download the game that is now available for iOS, Android, and Amazon devices today.
Thanks to Lauren Keating.

Mafia 3 Release Date Update
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Triple A third-person shooter video game "Mafia," but it looks like they have to rein in their emotions some more as game developer and publisher 2K Games failed to reveal the good news during the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015.
Various speculations suggest that "Mafia 3" could be launched during the first game's 13th anniversary on August 28. Others think that it will be earlier, and that it is possible that the game will officially debut at the upcoming Gamescon in Cologne, Germany on August 5-8.
Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., 2K Games' parent company, has recently registered four domains under the name of "Mafia 3." Some websites conclude that this move is in preparation for the game's upcoming release.
Meanwhile, Crossmap claims that the AAA game that 2K will be releasing in March 2016 is the upcoming "Mafia 3." Take-Two Interactive has earlier posted an announcement on its website regarding the highlights of the company's fiscal year, with the news on the new triple-A included.
According to the Crossmap, there are actually two signs proving that the news is pertaining to the video game. The first clue is the fact that 'Mafia 2' has been offered earlier this month for free on Xbox 360 for the Gold Subscription members. The second one is that Rick Pasqualone (voice actor for Mafia 2) has hinted of about it back in January.
Meawhile, Master Herald reports that new characters – Tony, Mickey, and Franklin – will be introduced in "Mafia 3." Tony is reportedly of Italian descent, thin, and calm and is in his early 30s, while Mickey is described as big talker, of average built, and younger. The third addition, Franklin, is a six feet African-American, also in his 20s, with a muscular built. All characters are from Louisiana.
2K Games has yet to make an announcement confirming the latest reports.

Tony Montana Has Game, Scarface - The World is Yours Collector's Edition Video Game
The "Scarface" franchise was "built for the video game generation before video games existed," according to Universal Pictures chairman Marc Shmuger. "Now that technology and the audience have all caught up, we're hoping for great results."
"World," produced by Sierra Entertainment, allows players to assume the persona of the sneering, ruthless crime boss who stormed the screen in Brian De Palma's 1983 film amid a ferocious hail of bullets, blood and four-letter words.
Shmuger calls the game, which took three years to create, an "A-plus" production. Striving to adhere to the movie's spirit, story line, characters and locations to create a sequel of sorts, developers first answered the question: How does one build a game around a film in which the main character dies?
Screenwriter David McKenna was brought onboard to craft a game story worthy of the iconic drug lord. He proposed: What if Tony gets out of the movie's mansion shootout alive but with nothing -- no power, real estate or money?
According to "World" executive producer Pete Wanat, players must rebuild Tony's empire from scratch, earning back his cash, clout and crib. "They can pimp out his house however the player wants it done," he says.
Game developers painstakingly portrayed details in order to create a "fictional extension" of the film. "The fictional extension is not to tell the movie story but to fill in the blanks," says Bill Kispert, vp interactive at Universal Studios Consumer Products Group.
Locations such as Tony's mansion, the Babylon Club and the Sun Ray Motel are identical to those in the film, he adds. "Tony still hates Colombians, and he still has a propensity for dropping the F-word," Wanat says.
The biggest coup for Vivendi was bringing Al Pacino onboard to review the characters and other game elements. "World" marks the first time the actor has allowed his likeness to be used in a video game, according to Kispert.
Says Wanat: "Tony is a much-loved character. You have to nail that character -- it can't just be OK. It's gotta look like Tony, walk like Tony and talk like Tony."
Pacino insisted on bringing Tony's moral code into "World," especially given the popularity of violent video games such as those in the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. "Scarface" has a body count of 42, but Tony does not hurt innocents -- and the game does not allow players to do so, either.
If a "World" player lines up an innocent woman and attempts to shoot her, Tony's voice will issue a reprimand like, "That goes against my code!" "If you did this game without that, it wouldn't be Tony Montana," Wanat says. But that does not mean the game version of Tony will take it easy on his enemies, or that there is a lack of action. "World" opens with a shootout scene at Tony's mansion and does not slow from there.
Striving to match De Palma's crisp colors and rich textures, Wanat and his team were supported by production values including THX sound, effects from Skywalker Sound, McKenna's script and musical licensing from top artists.
Rounding out the talent are about 40 Hollywood actors, many of whom requested to be a part of the game. 4 Members of International Computer Hacking Ring Indicted for Stealing Apache Helicopter Training Software + Gaming Technology
Four members of an international computer hacking ring have been charged with breaking into computer networks of prominent technology companies and the U.S. Army and stealing more than $100 million in intellectual property and other proprietary data. Two of the charged members have already pleaded guilty. The alleged cyber theft included software and data related to the Xbox One gaming console and Xbox Live online gaming system; popular games such as “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” and “Gears of War 3”; and proprietary software used to train military helicopter pilots.
Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney Charles M. Oberly III of the District of Delaware and Special Agent in Charge Stephen E. Vogt of the FBI’s Baltimore Field Office made the announcement.
“As the indictment charges, the members of this international hacking ring stole trade secret data used in high-tech American products, ranging from software that trains U.S. soldiers to fly Apache helicopters to Xbox games that entertain millions around the world,” said Assistant Attorney General Caldwell. “The American economy is driven by innovation. But American innovation is only valuable when it can be protected. Today’s guilty pleas show that we will protect America’s intellectual property from hackers, whether they hack from here or from abroad.”
“Electronic breaking and entering of computer networks and the digital looting of identities and intellectual property have become much too common,” said U.S. Attorney Oberly. “These are not harmless crimes, and those who commit them should not believe they are safely beyond our reach.”
Nathan Leroux, 20, of Bowie, Maryland; Sanadodeh Nesheiwat, 28, of Washington, New Jersey; David Pokora, 22, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; and Austin Alcala, 18, of McCordsville, Indiana, were charged in an 18-count superseding indictment returned by a federal grand jury in the District of Delaware on April 23, 2014, and unsealed earlier today. The charges in the indictment include conspiracies to commit computer fraud, copyright infringement, wire fraud, mail fraud, identity theft and theft of trade secrets. The defendants are also charged with individual counts of aggravated identity theft, unauthorized computer access, copyright infringement and wire fraud.
Pokora and Nesheiwat pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit computer fraud and copyright infringement and are scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 13, 2015. Pokora was arrested on March 28, 2014, while attempting to enter the United States at the Lewiston, New York, Port of Entry. Pokora’s plea is believed to be the first conviction of a foreign-based individual for hacking into U.S. businesses to steal trade secret information.
According to the superseding indictment and other court records, from January 2011 to March 2014, the four men and others located in the United States and abroad allegedly hacked into the computer networks of Microsoft Corporation, Epic Games Inc., Valve Corporation, Zombie Studios and the U.S. Army. The defendants and others allegedly obtained access to the victims’ computer networks through methods including SQL injection and the use of stolen usernames and passwords of company employees and their software development partners. Once inside the victims’ computer networks, the conspirators accessed and stole unreleased software, software source code, trade secrets, copyrighted and pre-release works and other confidential and proprietary information. Members of the conspiracy also allegedly stole financial and other sensitive information relating to the companies – but not their customers – and certain employees of such companies.
Specifically, the data cyber-theft allegedly included source code, technical specifications and related information for Microsoft’s then-unreleased Xbox One gaming console; intellectual property and proprietary data related to Xbox Live, Microsoft’s online multi-player gaming and media-delivery system; Apache helicopter simulator software developed by Zombie Studios for the U.S. Army; a pre-release version of Epic’s video game, “Gears of War 3;” and a pre-release version of Activision’s video game, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.” The defendants also allegedly conspired to use, share and sell the stolen information.
The value of the intellectual property and other data that the defendants stole, as well as the costs associated with the victims’ responses to the conduct, is estimated to range between $100 million and $200 million. To date, the United States has seized over $620,000 in cash and other proceeds related to the charged conduct.
In addition to those charged in the United States, an Australian citizen has been charged under Australian law for his alleged role in the conspiracy.

The King of Chicago announced for iOS and Android
Legendary game developer, Cinemaware, takes center stage on the gaming landscape once again, announcing that the classic Mob game from 1986 returns on your Android and iOS mobile devices soon!
One of Cinemaware’s original and most popular titles, “ The King of Chicago – Emulated Amiga Edition” puts you in the war for Al Capone’s throne when it comes to iOS and Android devices in the upcoming weeks. Set in the 1930s, deep within the prohibition era, “ The King of Chicago” is the original gangster myth game.
You’ll be performing drive-by shootings with your Tommy gun, bribing corrupt officials, assassinating rivals and carving your way to the top of Chicago’s Mob in order to be included in the formation of a New York crime syndicate. As if that weren't enough, the player also has to stay one step ahead of the law and keep his girlfriend satisfied by catering to her crazy whims and desires – or risk losing her! With force or words, it is your call…but be nice to your gang, or they will send you down the river!
“Lissen up, when youse action and story combine just poifect, somethin' snazzy happens on the screen,” said Pinky Callahan, mouthpiece for Cinemaware. “Cinemaware pulled the trigger on that stuff back in the 1980s; and it ain't no different now. People are always yappin' at us to bring back our games, as we obliged last year with Rocket Ranger – Emulated Amiga Version. We's in the process of releasin' several classic and new titles in 2014, like Wings: Remastered Edition. And just a tip between us wiseguys...download the game or youse gonna be wearing a pair of concrete shoes. If youse catch my drift.”
The King of Chicago – Emulated Amiga Edition features the original game, complete with all of the original missions, story and gameplay sequences. The game also features a customized mobile control interface and the original game manual.
The Android version will be available at the end of January, followed by the Apple iOS version in early February. The game will be available on Google’s Play store and Apple’s iTunes, as well as Amazon's appstore and Samsung-Chillingos' 100% Indie appstore.

Almost 1 Million Leave Mafia Wars 2
The sequel to one of Zynga’s most popular social games does not seem to be faring so well according to research firm AppData which estimates that Mafia Wars 2 has lost over 900,000 subscribers over the past four weeks.
The casual game that was launched back in October reached a peak of 2.5 million players but began losing out on players over the past month accounting to 36 per cent of its user base. If that was not bad enough, a Bloomberg report from an anonymous source says that the game has failed to generate expected sales.
Analyst Michael Pachter has pointed out that most of Zynga’s game witnessed at least 20 per cent of their users returning daily to play the game but Mafia Wars 2 falls short to 10 per cent on retaining its daily playing population. “All the old Mafia Wars guys who finished everything you could do came over here and said, ‘This is the same game with different missions.’ They are already tired of it, so they are dropping off. I think it’s a good case study for what can go wrong,” he explained.
